QUESTION

What does the NOAJMP directive do?

ANSWER

The NOAJMP directive (Abbr. NOAJ) causes the linker to avoid using the AJMP instruction in the inter-bank jump table created for code banking programs. This option is required only for 8051 derivatives that do not support the AJMP instruction.
