µVISION: CAN'T ASSEMBLE SRC FILES

• µVision Version 2.04

QUESTION

I have created an 8051 project with a C file that has in-line assembly. I've set the file options in the project window (by right-clicking on the C file) as follows:

• Generate Assembler SRC File
• Assemble SRC File

When I build my project, I receive the following error message:

--- Error: can't execute 'C:\KEIL\C166\BIN\A166.EXE'

What's the matter?

ANSWER

This is a known problem in µVision V2.04 that has been corrected in the latest revision. Download the latest C51 update to correct this problem. You may download the latest updates from the following URL:
