ISD51: DOES ISD51 WORK WITH THE DALLAS 390, 5240, OR 400?

QUESTION

I want to use the Keil In-System Debugger 51 for the Dallas DS80C390 in the contiguous mode? Is this possible?

ANSWER

No. ISD51 was designed for use with standard 8051 devices and does not support the Dallas 390, 5240, or 400 devices. These devices have an extended instruction set and different operating modes that are not compatible with ISD51.

MON390 is the only monitor that supports the Dallas DS80C390, 5240, or 400 in contiguous mode.

STATUS

MON390 will be available for beta testing in August 2002.
