RTX51: CONFIGURE FOR SILABS C8051F12X OR C8051F04X

QUESTION

I am using RTX51 Version 7.0 and I would like to work with SiLabs (former Cygnal) C8051F12x and C8051F04x devices. The problem is that this chip is not listed in RTXSetup.inc. What should I do in order to work with RTX51 Full and Cygnal C8051F12x and C8051F04x?

ANSWER

The Cygnal C8051F120/1/2/3/4/5/6/7 family requires a new configuration entry in RTX51. You may request the file with extra configuration from the attachments section below.

RESOLUTION

After downloading the attachment, you will need to conclude the following steps:

• Replace the existing files from \Keil\C51\RTX51\Kernel\Rtxsetup.inc and \keil\c51\rtx51\Kernel\Rtxconf.a51 with the attached files.

The new CPU type for this family is number 44 (from Rtxsetup.inc)

STATUS

Those new configuration files will be included in the next RTX51 release.
