ARTX: USING SWI_VEC.S WITH ARTX-ARM

Information in this article applies to:

  • ARTX-ARM All Versions
  • CARM Compiler Version 2 or higher

QUESTION

I want to include SWI (software interrupt functions) in my Advanced RTX application. Since ARTX-ARM uses SWI functions internally, is there a reason to add the SWI_VEC.S module?

ANSWER

The ARTX RTOS contains a configured version of the software interrupt handler module SWI_VEC.S, so you should not have to. Also note that the ARTX uses the SWI numbers 0 - 7 for internal functions.
