ULINK: CANNOT PROGRAM UPSD3422 DEVICE
Information in this article applies to:
- C51 Version up to 8.02a
- ULINK USB-JTAG Adapter
QUESTION
When I try to program my uPSD3422 device with ULINK, I get the following error message:
Erasing Flash…
Erasing PLD/ACR…
*** OBJ Read Error: Address 024000 is not available
in this device (Line xxx).
What is the reason for this error and how can I avoid it?
ANSWER
The UL2UPSD.DLL was created with invalid flash-sector information that made it impossible to download an application into the boot sector 2 and 3 of a uPSD3422 device.
This problem has been corrected and a new driver (which may be downloaded from the Attached Files section below) is now available. Extract this file into the \KEIL\C51\BIN\ folder of your C51 installation.
This patch is not required for C51 versions after Version 8.02a.
