RL-ARM: TCPNET SUPPORT FOR IPV6

Information in this article applies to:

  • RL-ARM All Versions

QUESTION

Is the TCP/IP stack provided in the TCPnet networking suite of the RL-ARM library IPv4 or IPv6 (or both)?

ANSWER

The TCP/IP stack in RL-ARM is IPv4 compliant. Since most TCPnet applications are used in a local network (behind a router that connects to the Internet) there is currently no demand for IPv6.

However, if the demand is there we will implement IPv6.
