ULINK: LPC2000 FAST GPIO SHOW WRONG VALUES
Information in this knowledgebase article applies to:
- ULINK2 USB-JTAG Adapter
- ULINK-ME USB-JTAG Adapter
- RealView Microcontroller Development Kit Version 3.22 or earlier
SYMPTOM
The FAST GPIO registers of the NXP LPC2000 devices are incorrectly displayed or the display of these changes their values. The problem occurs on all NXP LPC2000 variants that offer FAST GPIO, for example LPC2148, LPC2368, LPC2378, and LPC2468.
CAUSE
The FAST GPIO registers cannot be read with the standard JTAG ICE debug interface.
RESOLUTION
In RealView MDK 3.22a a bypass has been implemented into the ULINK driver. The debug registers are read by running an small program and no longer via the standard debug interface.
Therefore you should upgrade the RealView MDK to the latest revision.
