DSCOPE: WHAT DEVICES ARE SUPPORTED?

Information in this article applies to:

  • C251 Version 2.14
  • C51 Version 5.50

QUESTION

I have a particular 8051 instruction compatible device that I wish to simulate. Does dScope support it?

ANSWER

Look for the device in the list of CPU DLLs in dScope. If you cannot find it, then choose the closest one to your particular device and note that there may be differences between the two devices that will affect operation.

In general, dScope can only simulate common peripherals such as the timers, UARTs, watchdogs, PCA timers, A/D converters, power saving modes, interrupts, PWM outputs, etc. Peripherals such as CAN, USB etc. cannot be simulated.

MORE INFORMATION

More information on dScope's simulation capabilities may be found on page 297 of the dScope for Windows User's Guide (01.97).
