MON251: DEBUGGING CODE RUNNING ON HARDWARE

Information in this article applies to:

  • C251 Version 2.14

QUESTION

Is it possible to use dScope to debug code that is running on my hardware?

ANSWER

Yes. This can be achieved using the Monitor251 (MON251) program.

  1. Read the Windows help file MON251.HLP stored in the BIN directory and ensure that your hardware meets the requirements listed.
  2. Run the Install batch file in the MON251 directory to configure the monitor for your hardware. Details of how to do this can be found in the MON251.HLP file.
  3. Program the Monitor hex file into your hardware so when you power up, the Monitor is executed.
  4. Run dScope and choose MON251.DLL CPU driver.
