DSCOPE: SIMULATION OF PHILIPS LPC764

QUESTION

Can dScope simulate the Philips LPC764? Some of the instructions are executed at twice the speed of a typical 8051. I need to obtain accurate execution times.

ANSWER

In dScope you can simulate an 8051, however, you will not be able to accurately simulate execution times for this part. If you just want to simulate functionality, then choose the closest supported device to the LPC764 and use that.

Currently we are planning to add support for simulation of this device in µVision by early 2000.
