Timer Tick Interrupt

RTX166 Tiny uses a standard C16x Timer to generate a periodic interrupt. This interrupt is the RTX166 Tiny Timer Tick. Timeout and interval values specified for the RTX166 Tiny library routines are measured using the RTX166 Tiny Timer Tick.

By default, the RTX166 Timer Tick interrupt occurs every 2,500 machine cycles. So, for a standard C16x running at 20MHz, the period of the timer tick is 0.001 seconds or a frequency of 1000Hz (20MHZ / 8 / 2,500). The value may be changed in the CONF_TNY.A66 configuration file.
